The Alvarium SMP started when a family of four decided they wanted to expand their personal Minecraft server during the pandemic lockdown. Now we have a close knit community full of friendly and collaborative people! All of our members work together to make our world feel more alive and connected!
The name 'Alvarium' is Latin for 'beehive' or 'bee colony'. It was chosen to represent our close-knit community of members, working together to build something great, just like a colony of bees building their hive. The name ties into the theme of collaboration and our shared goal of creating a beautiful and thriving world together.
The Alvarium SMP is run entirely by dedicated community members who volunteer their time to maintain a safe, friendly, and engaging environment for both our creators and viewers.
