For safety and privacy, we may notify members if behavior compromises others. We reserve the right to remove without warning for serious or multiple rule breaches.

• Age Requirement: Must be 18+ to join SMP & Discord.
• Respectful Behavior: Be respectful to others. No discrimination or hurtful language.
• Content Guidelines: No explicit, offensive, or NSFW images.
• Recruitment Policy: No recruitment or poaching from Alvarium. We will immediately inform our members of your intent.
• Promotion Protocol: Ask before promoting non-Alvarium SMP content on Discord. Non-members may not promo on our Discord.
• Logo Usage: Members may use our logo on Alvarium content, but contact us via ticket for approval. Non-members may not use our logo.
• Voice Channel Rule: All public voice channels (VCs) must have a moderator/seasoned member present.
• Attendance Expectation: Members must attend gatherings and arrange absences with mods. Missing more than 2 events without communication may result in removal.
• Activity Requirement: Interact with others in-game and on Discord. Two weeks of inactivity without explanation may result in removal.
• Farming Restrictions: No in-game farms aside from traditional crops. This includes XP farms.
• Fair Play: No unfair advantages from mods or texture packs. This will result in immediate removal.
• Announcement Acknowledgment: Read and react to all announcements. Ignorance of announcement information is not a valid excuse.
• Behavioral Guidelines: Avoid flirting, fraternizing, or any behavior that could cause discomfort or awkwardness. This includes role play and joking.
• Privacy Awareness: Assume you're always being recorded, and assume the people around you are clean content creators.
• Intellectual Property Protection: Unauthorized use of our name, likeness, logo, or any intellectual property in any media or other form is strictly prohibited. Permission must be obtained by scheduling a meeting with the server owners and signing our disclaimer before use.
• Video and Logo Usage: Contact mods via ticket to make a video to promote the Alvarium SMP or use our logo. Agreement to our disclaimer is required.
• Collaborative Play: We play as a community. Rare items and big finds are most fun when shared, whether through shops, trades, or direct collaboration. Everyone benefits when resources circulate.
• Exploration Policy: Exploring together creates shared stories and helps the server run smoothly. We encourage members to invite others along on adventures, though solo exploration is also welcome with some mindfulness about distance.
• Limited Use of Litmatica: We're testing out Litmatica on our survival server, but with a clear restriction: no autofill. While we value fairness and creativity, autofill too closely resembles creative mode. However, players are free to create blueprints in their own creative worlds and implement them here.

VIOLATION PROTOCOL: Offenders are timed out, and incidents are resolved within 48 hours. If you believe it's an error, you can appeal, but allow up to 48 hours for mods to review.
